Taormina: “RESIDENCE SCHULER”. Our villa apartments are surrounded by a garden rich in trees, flowers that bloom year round, and a wide beautiful view of the sea, of Mt. Etna volcano and of the Gulf of Naxos, really giving them a feeling of openness. We have 5 apartments for two to seven people, each fully furnished, with an independent entrance, central heating, air conditioning, kitchen, large living room, bedrooms with attached bathroom, terrace with flowers or garden. Each apartment is provided with safe, telephone and satellite TV. The Villa is located on a small hill, in a quiet surrounding, very close to the centre of Taormina, at a walking distance to the main street Corso Umberto (pedestrian area) and 2 minutes from the shopping centre. At a walking distance you can also reach the beautiful ruins of the Greek Theatre, where in season you'll be able to attend opera concerts and other kind of international artists shows. In June, for example, there is the well known cinema Festival, where famous stars are invited to present their latest movies and to receive prizes... |

Taormina is a great place from where to start daily excursions to many historical and natural locations in Sicily, such as Mt. Etna, the biggest European active volcano (3,300 mt. its height!), or the Eolian Islands, seven 'pearls' including Stromboli, another active volcano, or the Valley of the Temples, next to Agrigento, on the south coast of Sicily, where you will be amazed by the view of one of the most famous historical sites. Siracusa is just another place not to miss, with its old greek ruins including the open air Theater, still used in summer for classical Greek mythological representations. The list is very long if you like visiting places, Sicily has a lot to offer, with its intense nature and landscapes. If you just wish to enjoy the Mediterranean sea, there is a daily shuttle service to the various beaches in Taormina: the shuttle will take you down there and bring you back, leaving five minutes walking distance from the holiday apartments. Another possibility is to rent a car and start the day leaving from the holiday apartments and just going around discovering places, enjoying nature, letting your attention be caught by the landscape, or historical buildings in the cities ('Barocco' is a style famous in Sicily, present everywhere like in churches, old buildings and especially in cities as Catania, Noto, Siracusa, Palermo...) If you wish during your stay to 'stay fit' there is the possibility to play tennis, in a close by sport center, or jogg while discovering places and corners around the town, take great walks up and down hills or visit the Botanical Taormina Public Garden, also at a walking distance from the Residence, a great playground for kids too! Nightlife offers a variety of possibilities. You can just enjoy strolling around Corso Umberto pedestrian area having an ice cream sitting at the bar in the plaza, while listening to music, or looking for a pub, a wine bar, or discoteque, or going for a special dinner in the little cities on the mountains around Taormina, as Castelmola, or Forza d'Agrò, the latest famous for having been the site of the movie 'The Godfather', both rich in very good family restaurants offering well prepared sea-food. The holiday apartments, for their setting, their spaciousness and the care they are run with, offer a great place to come back to after a day out at sea or in excursion, giving a feeling of 'home' even when away from home.
